FAQ - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is PDR?

PDR, or Paintless Dent Repair, is a method of removing minor dents and dings without harming the vehicle's paint. This is done by patiently massaging the dent out from the back of the panel using specialized tools.

Will my dents come back?

Once a dent has been skillfully repaired by our technicians, it never comes back. Remember there is no filler or paint involved in the PDR process. Dent King technicians return the panel back to its original shape.

What type of dent can be repaired?

Dents smaller than a dime and larger than a basketball can be fixed by PDR but the most important factors in determining if a dent can be repaired are depth and location. Even if the paint is scratched or chipped PDR can be useful. Free estimates provided by our trained technicians will cover this in greater detail.

Can Dent King help me sell or return my lease vehicle?

By removing those unsightly door dents, PDR is one of the best ways to increase the value of your vehicle which will help you sell it or return it to your leasing company.

What are the advantages of using the PDR process?

Cost Efficient
PDR repairs are performed at a fraction of the cost of a traditional body shop repair. Most repairs are under the $300 minimum insurance deductible.

Time Saving
For most door dings, repairs can take less than an hour. Even large dents can be repaired in a day as opposed to several days at a typical body shop.

Environmentally Friendly
Paints and fillers are not used in the PDR process. Our technicians only use specialized hand tools to remove dents.

Maintain Value
With no mismatched paints or filler, PDR will preserve your vehicle's original finish, which in turn maintains its value.
